Finding a Ducati 851 SP3 for sale has become a very difficult task. Finding an investment grade example has become almost impossible. We sold this machine in 2015 and it passed all due diligence then. We set the motorcycle up correctly and it’s been in storage since. We will set it up again correctly for its new owner. This machine has the very rare elephant Cagiva logo on the aluminium silencers. These have usually been discarded in favour of Termignonis decades ago and they add huge value to this machine. The previous owner had the front forks fully rebuilt by Maxton Suspension at great expense. The aged carbon is all in excellent condition. This classic motorcycle is in incredible condition with no marks, scratches or corrosion.

These early, pre 916 Ducati SPs are increasing rapidly in value. Just over 500 of these machines were produced, making it an exceptionally rare motorcycle indeed. A new example of a Ducati 851 SP3 sold recently for £44,000 at just recently. This gives a powerful indication of where prices are heading in the future for this stunning classic motorcycle.
